I am looking at a 2003 BMW 4.6is with 45k priced at 23,000 in MA. I am new to BMW and wonder if this is a good price for the car, which is in excellent condition in and out. Also if there are any major issues to be concerned with with this year and model and if BMW's are really as expensive to fix compared to other cars (jeep, honda, toyota etc.)
Just bought a 2006 4.4i with 71k in PERFECT condition in MA for $20,750. With respect to the second question, spend some time on this board. You should, however, take the X to a dealer or good indy for a PPI. One mistake can cost you A LOT of money. Post some pictures!!!
It's being sold at a BMW dealer. 1 0wner clean carfax, bought and serviced at the same dealer selling it, as it was traded in for a newer model. I love the car and the price is great. Just don't want to get killed with maintenance costs.
Standard maintenance costs are relatively low. Potential repair costs could be HUGE. Which dealer? By the way, make absolutely sure that all maintenance can be documented from day one, including oil changes!!!
BMW Gallery in Norwood. It's not even listed yet, which is why I'm now researching and getting opinions. The car is unreal. I can get the extended warranty on it but I'm never sure if those are worth the cost.
Tell them 20k is what it is worth. $23k is acceptable if it comes with a GOOD warranty (CPO for 3 more years).
