We miss the Z3 and keep toying with the idea of replacing the 330i with a cic....

Only on leasing... good residuals and money factors (1.9 buy rate)
No market allowances... we're entering peak convertible season, why would there need to be? :dunno:
Hope that helps..

You just missed out. Last month the money factor was almost half of what it is now. How about a Z4? They lease well.

Even in the deepest, darkest winter, have there ever been incentives on convertibles (non-Z), other than the old model year ones left on lots?

Really, ED usually beats the best incentive....Plus, it seems to be even harder to find manual transmissions in Dealers' cic specs than on the sedans and coupes.

Well, yeah, let me tell you by how much . . .
The cabrios the dealers go for seem to be fully loaded and designed as boulevard cruisers (PP, no SP) ready for sale to the husband who has to buy his wife one today.

I think there were market allowances for 2003's before the body style change. Other than that, there haven't been any incentives.

For that matter, I can't think of a single German convertible in recent memory that has required incentives to sell. Despite being short on practicality and long on price, there will always be a healthy demand for these vehicles (perhaps for those very reasons).

Easy now. The problem is that there are very few reasonably sporty 4 seat convertibles out there. And it's not like BMW's production is mainly cabrios.

Well.. the 330cic had a lease money factor of .0010 up until March 31st. I think that a 2.4% effective interest rate is a pretty big incentive. Especially, since it wasn't the end of the year, and the residuals are still decent.

I can think of many reasonably sporty 4 seat convertibles: Audi A4/S4, Saab 9-3, Mustang SVT, Mercedes CLK and Volvo C70. Now that I think about it you're probably right. There really aren't that many, are there?

That was a deep, dark winter, too. :D (And anybody who passed up a deal back then is a fool.)

Ooops. By sporty I presumed a stick shift, so strike the Audi and Mercedes (if you include the S4, you're in M3 price range, as you are for the CLK as well, which is a somewhat different market segment). So, you've got a Saab, a Volvo, BMW, and a Mustang. Hmm. At least one doesn't belong. Certainly there are some choices I overlooked, but I'm still not seeing as great a choice in this segment as in others (e.g., sports coupes).

I wonder what the discounts will be like to clear the E46s out. Of course only steps will be left on lots.

Given the advance pics, I'm guessing they'll sell at a premium.
