Logistics of Bimmerfest 04

I'm just wondering how parking will be handled at this years fest due to the sheer volume of cars?

At last years Bimmerfest it was essentially first come first serve, find a spot and park in it.

Will the situation be the same this year or will there be any organization/layout (good idea) as there is when we go to many big import shows?

My idea was some sort of organization and parking area/section by year; model (either chassis code or specific model); state that the cars license plates read or resides in; or color (I think that would be cool). Maybe even a combination of all or some of them.

Any thoughts on this?

Considering how everyone's not going to arrive in one shot, I don't see how it'd be practical to group by anything like that. I'm guessing a lot of people would want to park in groups with their buddies.

It's essentially one huge parking lot this time, so I really doubt there are going to be problems finding spaces.

We have hired parking staff from Earl Warren to handle the volume of cars. There is no way to handle breaking out the area into chassis. We are going to fill the lot in the order people show up.

If you want to park with your friends, crew, whatever, then you need to show up with your friends, plain and simple then you will be parked together.

Damn, it would be sweet to organize it by chasis code, that would be sick.

Yea it would be wayyy to hard to do almost anything since as was said the volume and because people jsut get there when they get there, its fine though make looking around more fun :thumbup:
