2001 540 Seat Swap

I seen several posts on various boards about swapping seats but I haven't seena a difinitive post regarding which years are fully compatible and require no modifications to mounting or electricals. I'm buying a 2001 540i 6 speed with Grey Sport Seats next week and I'd really prefer the comfort seats that were an option. If I can find them can anybody confirm which years are a direct bolt in and plug in swap? I think 2000 through 2002 is the answer but I'm not 100% sure.

by the way, i'll be happy to trade you mine out of a '98 540iA :-)

or actually my drivers side has a small rip so you might not want them... BUT, if you want to sell your existing ones, i'll buy them from you in heart-beat if they are well priced :-)
