Hi all,

just noticed on the BMW site they have $3500 option allowance and $2500 credit available on the 640i. Anyone know the rest of the necessary numbers to work out what the lease payment would be approximately for getting this Euro delivery assuming a dealer does it for $500 above ED invoice. 24 or 36 months, 10k miles/year. I would look for very few options though to take advantage of the option allowance i guess i would take the M - Sport package.

Any help would be appreciated.

Rough math: The cost per $1000 is $9.90 (after $4K down), so with an MSRP of $76275 and a ED discount of approximately 7%, that would bring you to something like $706+tax.

Not really sure how u got to that?? Every $1k is about $28 per month generally on a 36 month lease. There is a $3500 option allowance plus $2500 credit. The ED should save at least $7500 from MSRP on a $78k car. So probably over $14k in deductions off MSRP

The small print states "Monthly Lease payments of $759.00 for 36 months based on MSRP of $76,275.00" That's $9.95/$1000.

I did ED on 11/28/11. This is what I got. I believe you can not lock the OLP after 1/3/12.

oh, i didn't realize that's how u worked it. I don't think that is an accurate way to do the rough math. Since the residual stays the same after reductions, the entire credit or reduction due to ED is treated almost like a down payment, hence about $28/month off the lease price for every $1k in down payment/credit/ED derived discount from MSRP.

Thank you, that is about where my rough math is pointing. You basically were able to get a $83k MSRP 640i for $600 / month. Pretty impressive.

To get the OLP incentives (0.0003 & 0.0075 MF reductions), you must take the delivery by 1/3/12 (I think). Since you are just starting the process, yours would be more like a $700 range unless there are changes in Jan 2012? I got really lucky with all the year end sales events. Good luck & happy new year.

does the 640i use the n54 or n55 engine?
