So, folks, this is it.

1800 miles. We start tomorrow night. We plan to stay in Ok City, then Albuqurque (maybe Flagstaff), then SB.

I wont run into Terry as he's taking a more northern route, but we're together in spirit!

See you guys at the 'fest!

Have a great drive...both of you! I wish I could be driving but time does not permit it this year. I will be jumping on a plane out to LA tomorrow to get up to SB and start finalizing everything about the event though :D

See everyone there!

What state? I just did a 12-day, 6-state, 3,909-mile trip in my 540. One close call. Zero tickets. Of course, I was always obeying the speed limits!! :D :eeps:

I swear, Texas and California only allowing people to go 70 is a crime. Thank god AZ, CO, NM and UT (among others) allow people to go 75.

Are you not V-1 enabled??

John- got a hose? Heheheheh... HoseProp -- swing by the Calle Real Ramada friday afternoon/evening if you'd like... we'll be having a massive washfest with the Bay Bimmerz caravan crowd, many (most?) of whom are staying there.

I think Terry's staying at the Ramada as well.

You need to document your adventure with digital images... :-)We did one better, yesterday. After a 5:15AM wake up, we finally visited the meteor crater and headed to Flagstaff. BUT, my co-pilot had not ever been to Sedona, AZ, sooooo..

We headed south for about 30 miles, through RedRock, and then up AZ 85- When I took this road, six years ago, I wanted my bimmer.. to have it this time was magic... and we got it on film! VERY fun drive.

Yesterday was the most flat out mileage covered: 950 miles over 12 hours. It was the scariest day as well when we had to draft some trucks so we wouldn't run out of gas. As we pulled in, the mileage gauge to empty read only dashes- And, to confirm, we filled up with 19! gallons! We'd run 440 miles on one tank.

Today was the best site seeing day: Grand Canyon, (it SNOWED!) Hoover Dam, Las Vegas (-$100 and a buffet), and finally Santa Barbara- 800 miles over 13 hours. It was also the most expensive gas of the trip- $2.80 a gallon. :(

We've met Tim and Mark and we're getting ready for tomorrow.

Well, we were too worn to head NorthEast from SB. We headed to Albuqurque, Sunday and then home today.

No (more) tickets. More detail, tomorrow.
