Folks, as much as I hate to do it, my M3 is for sale. Life changes have forced me to give up the coolest car I have ever owned. Here are the brief stats:
1988 BMW M3, #117 brought to the U.S. (Built 3/87)
Black with Pearl Beige leather
83XXX miles
Exterior and interior are in excellent condition. Paint is as shiny as new, all body panels are original. Leather seats are untorn and show minimal wear.
Engine rebuilt less than 1,000 miles ago to stock 2.3L specs. All internal engine parts are either brand new or machined to OEM
specification. This includes pricier items like timing chain rails. Machine work was performed by VAC Motorsports.
Mods:
-Conforti chip
-Evo intake
-Hella H4 low-beams
-UUC Short Shift Kit
-MPD lightweight flywheel
-VSR stainless steel center section, Stromung stainless steel muffler
-BMW factory moonroof
Known issues:
-Passenger side window does not move (currently completely closed).
The switch is not the culprit.
-Approx. four square inches of clearcoat missing from the front bumper.
ALL original parts will come with the car, except for the exhaust.
Also available are a full set of wheels, valve adjusting tool with full set of shims, and various other bits and pieces. Will probably sell most of those separately.
I am the fourth owner of this car and have owned it since April 2003. I have ALL receipts related to this car from the time the car was
ordered in 1987 through the present day. I also have an electronic version of the car's full service history, along with information on owners and mileage over the years.
I'm asking $15,000 for the car and I expect it to sell quickly. SERIOUS PARTIES ONLY, please contact me at blee@blairlee.com. It is located in Reston, VA (just outside of D.C.).
Sadly,
-Blair
PS - there are a bunch of photos of my car's engine during the rebuild in the E30 M3 forum here. There should also be some exterior shots, but I can dig up a bunch of them on request.
