Looks great on paper! Can't wait to see pics!

I got mine (coupe) a couple weeks ago and am in love. This is my first 6er as well, and it is an amazing machine.

Good luck in the waiting process. I thought that part was going to kill me - but it is definitely worth the wait!

Give us a review of how it drives once you get behind the wheel. We don't get the diesels here, so I'd love to read a comparison and owner's impression.

Looks awesome! Can't wait to see pics of this color combination.

Is there any way to add the B&O sound system? Here in the states, it runs about 3,700 USD or so above the loudspeaker sound system, but it is SOOOOOO WORTH IT! The only other thing I'd check is the contrast stitching (if it is not standard in the UK). It's an awesome car, but those two options move it up a level IMAO.

I want that Internet option... Badly

love it man! Might I suggest the 20's w. your M?

Yep. 20's too.

Thanks for comments yes would love all you suggest kept to 5k extras where do you stop on the options list - was not sure on the 20***8221; ***8211; they look better I***8217;ve got 20***8221; on my Jaguar but knowing the BMW ride and RF tyres though I***8217;d stick with the 19***8221; our road here in UK are full of pot holes. Very tempted with B&O system I***8217;ve got Bowers & Wilkins 1200w system in the Jaguar and its sounds amazing but BMW want 3,750 for the B&O too much!

COUNTDOWN! Man, that is really cool. Enjoy the time. For Bimmerguys, this is like waiting for a child to be born (maybe better, hehehe).

I sat awake all night watching the owner's manual videos since I couldn't sleep. I was pretty much useless for 36 hours before and after taking delivery.

Thanks for all the comments now Ive had the car about a month a short review follows.
The car is fantastic to drive in fact to me its amazing. I have that permanent smile and feeling of always wanting to drive it (not dissimilar to my Jag XF I was never sure that could be replicated it is). The standard and quality of finish manufacture is excellent it feels quality throughout. For a diesel the exhaust roar is amazing I know its no V8 or a Maser but for an oil burner well just select sport plus floor it and it sounds special.
Its fast very fast when needed and also cruises sedately in eco-plus. Sure footed even in the wet. In comparison to my XF (20) the ride is very BMW ish (19 RFT) so its firm and hard on uneven surfaces certainly no magic carpet or jaguaresque but Im ok with that. The comfort seats take some getting used to and setting up they are firm too if not hard and my front passengers find them too firm on long journeys. As with any low profile tyres I thought going for 19 would help the lovely alloys are vulnerable (two cases of kerb rash already completely my fault!
Love the tech pretty much sorted now - blackberry works best near perfect in fact iPhone is a touch temperamental on apps some times. Media options brilliant I have upgraded prof system not as good as my Bower & Wilkins in Jag but the Bang & O sound system was so expensive.
Biggest regret is not ticking comfort access as due to health and safety very limited functionality from key fob so no auto close windows auto power fold mirrors or auto roof open/close.
Most importantly the sun has decided to shine and we have 30C so its top down and away we go. Here in UK the car is very rare indeed if fact not seen a vert at all except in my local BMW showroom! My wife claims the seats are too firm for longer journeys and she fines the car uncomfortable oh well cant please all of them all of the time my 7 year old loves the car. The car sits lower than Im use to and it does not like speed humps and Ive scraped the side skirt underneath already! A very enjoyable car my only concern is perhaps that it generates a little too much attention and not really sure I like the signals it may give but what the hell Im enjoying my ride.

Glad you're enjoying it :) . I agree with pretty much everything you said. Comfort mode helps sort out some of the hard bumps and a bit of the jerkiness I encounter with Sport mode. I still stay in Sport 95% of the time, but I do find road imperfections to be less harsh if I'm in comfort. Comfort seems to make stop and go traffic seem smoother - Sport mode in traffic doesn't provide much benefit. I may quickly switch over if I think I might have to speed up a bit to get through a light on yellow - huge difference in throttle response that is very obvious in this situation. All in all, I don't mind my 20"s with Sport mode. I have decent roads for the most part, so that probably helps.

I'm hoping to make a long roadtrip soon to see how comfortable the car is in that situation. A little more cushioning and bolster support would be nice, but I'm not uncomfortable by any means - just think they could've done better for a GT car.

I know what you mean about the attention received in the car. I haven't experienced anything too weird or creepy, but I typically get a daily "bad a$$ car" or "sweeet ride, wooo" shouted out the window, horn honks, lights flashed, etc. I also have a lot of people come up to me at gas stations to ask about the car. I'd prefer the attention to solely come from hot blondes or car enthusiasts from select parts of town, but I guess you take the good with the bad and be thankful that the bad is just obnoxious and nothing too threatening or damaging.

Congrats on the great car, if possible can you post some photos of the ivory white interior? Thank you.

You curbed it 2x in a month!? Ouch?

Did you repair?

Yeh and I was trying to be so careful too - luckily they are only minor edge marks but annoying none the less I know they are there but not repaired them yet!

I've gotten to the point that I take a long way around a parking lot to avoid the tight maneuvers between curbs. A lot of them are too low for the PDC sensors to pick up, and it's just easier to take an extra 30 seconds to go around than to weave through them.

Dealer likely has a guy they use and it should be around $50 each. On my last ride I curbed it and they just took care of it for me. Check yours out.
