Frankfurt airport, Europe’s third- busiest, faces disruption for a second day after striking runway controllers extended their protest.
Fraport AG (FRA), which owns the German hub, is seeking to secure more than half of operations during the strike, spokesman Gunnar Scheunemann said in an interview. More than 280 of today’s total 1,300 flights have been canceled, the company said in a separate statement. Controllers are halting work from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to the Gewerkschaft der Flugsicherung union.

It's just a piece of flat concrete..... pilots don't need any controllers to help them land on it.

Strike extended from Sunday evening (Feb 26th) until Thursday (Mar 1st).
