[/URL]Following two relatively short work stoppages Thursday and Friday, the Union of Air Traffic Controllers (GdF), which also represents ground workers at Frankfurt Airport (FRA), announced plans for a 24-hour strike on Monday.

The labor action will begin at 5 a.m. CET.

The strike has been extended until 11 PM Friday, but only 15% of flights (mostly local flights) have been affected. The Deutschesbahn has laid on extra trains and carriages to make up the difference.
