Hi all - I'm looking to (loosely) organize a caravan to Bimmerfest from Santa Barbara, its former home. I'll be spreading word in the weekly SB Cars & Coffee, but I thought it'd be good to also drop a line here. If you're interested in participating, respond here or PM me. I'll be in touch as the date nears.

Thanks,
Paul

Cool. Often there is a group that assembles at Earl Warren Showgrounds for the caravan to The Rose Bowl...

Excellent, thanks for the tip Jon. Nice to 'meet' one of the organizers!!!

I don't want to re-invent the wheel, so if there's a usual group that meets first at the old stomping grounds, I'll gladly join in.

Talk to you soon,
Paul

My pleasure Paul! I look forward to meeting you...

What are you driving?

What area of SB are you located in?

Hi Jon - I drive a 335i, which is technically my wife's DD but I try to get behind the wheel as much as possible. I live near Foothill and 154, which is a nice place to start for a run up the pass, or a 192-based 'backwoods' drive through Montecito. My favorite curvy road in town is Gibaltar, but don't spread the word too much... ;)

I checked out your E36 dyno vid... the sound coming out of that thing is SICK!

Would love to be a part of this. This will be my first year attending as I have recently purchased my first BMW. Please keep me posted

Thanks Paul. We should connect some time. We're practically neighbors. Seriously...
I bet we are less than a couple of miles apart. I'm surprised you haven't seen (or heard) my M3 on the road before. :p

I would love to be a part of this, but since I will already be in Pasadena, I won't have the opportunity...

:(

The last couple of years they have managed some decent-sized caravans.

Hi Nate - look forward to meeting you. Prior to Bimmerfest, we may see each other at the weekly Cars & Coffee on Coast Village Rd. (Sundays 8-10, Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Santa-Barbara-Cars-and-Coffee/124523314273193)), or the new monthly BMW meet at Ledbetter Beach (next one is Saturday 4/14 - see this page (http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1808493)), if you'd like to come to either.

Hi Jon - I'll ping you at some point before then so we can meet briefly and get to know each other before the 'Fest. Although on the day of, I'm sure you won't have too much time for socializing! I'll try to make it to the next gathering at Ledbetter (4/14), unless my Social Chairwoman tells me otherwise.
