I have a dilemma, I am stuck between getting a 2003 with 27k miles with Premium, Cold Weather, Rear Climate packages or a 2004 base model with nothing. I was wondering if any one had suggestions, or insights. Also does anyone have some side by side pictures of the front? thanks.

IMHO Save a bit longer and get an 04 with extras, the base model will depreciate quickly.

Isn't the mileage kind of high for a one year old vehicle?:dunno: I would opt
for a new one.

It is high mileage, but still a fair price to pay nonetheless. I've seen used cars go for just 2k shy of a brand new one with the exact same options. You're talking about thousands of dollars worth in options for much much less.

However, you do lose the new-ness of it all. Knowing only you have driven it. Oh, plus the 2003 doesn't have the new "angel eyes" BMW halo headlights, or the X-Drive. I haven't personally tested the difference, but I hear X-Drive makes a HUGE difference.

Just a couple of things for you to consider in your decision making process...I'm basically going through the same dilemma. Though I'm leaning towards new myself. Good luck!

Also does anyone have some side by side pictures of the front? thanks. My mother in law has an '01 3.0 with Sport and premium packages, I just bought an '04 3.0 with everything but Nav. The X drive is a HUGE difference in this car. Handling is much better in all directions. I like the angel eyes and the facelift.

As for high miles, I bought the '04 with 17k miles. I've already driven it 3k miles in two months. I dont care about that many miles- if anything it shows that they were likely highway miles. And what if they weren't? CPO for 100k/6 years. In fact the '04 is ugly Oxford Green and had that light birch interior on black leather. I switched the interior trim with my mother in law's darker wood and that helped a lot, but the thing is still an ugly color to me.

But, I didn't buy it for the color. I bought it for the utility and I've hauled everything from 9ft lead pipes (out the front window!) to microwaves, a full surround system, and the most important package: My little girl's first ever car ride home from the hospital. Great utility and great drive. Glad I didnt buy a Ford truck.

Are the angel eyes stock on 2004 or are they available with the zenon headlights?
