Is it possible to put the factory Nav in after the fact?

Anything is possible with enough $$$. I don't have specific details for the X3, but in an E46 3-series it costs upwards of $4000 to completely retrofit the factory installed nav system. Some of this cost is usually saved by getting some of the parts on eBay, but considering how new the X3 is, you probably won't with the exception of the navigation computer. In addition, on the X3 the nav is installed on the top of the dash, so a new dashboard would probably need to be installed as well. Cheaper option is to just get a new X3 with nav already installed.
