I'm replacing the shocks and springs on my 98 528i SP. I'm looking for a good write up with pictures. Can anyone shoot me a link please.

Yeah, but that one isn't even that great...

I'd recommend going to my www.bmwdiy.info link below and looking at the Suspension Survey page. I have 2 links off there which might be good references as well. In general, it's a medium to semi-difficult procedure so most should leave it up to the pros unless you have the right tools and someone there which know-how.

Hey Viet! Agent and I put up a set of photos from my install way back. No writeup, but the pictures themselves will likely be of value. My quick perusal of your site didn't show them, perhaps they are already there.

Big warning: For those with xenons, remember to disconnect the headlight autoleveling sensors before you begin work. There is one on the rear axle and one on the front - both are on the passenger side of the car (at least on my MY2000 540):
