. . . anyone know how to tell what kind?
His exhaust sounded very mean, and needless to say, when I tried to chase him in my 4-cylinder '96 Accord, he took off like I was going backwards!

Look at the badge? :dunno:
Reminds me of a couple weekends ago. I was pulling out of a gas station when I saw a Maserati Spyder behind me. I gunned my engine and redlined it out of there, just because I hadn't done so in a while. The guy must have thought I was trying to race him or prove something (I wasn't), so he just roared past me. I thought it was pretty funny. He must've thought I was some insecure wuss trying to show him up.

I used to drag race Porsches in my stock 50HP VW Beetle... Pull up next to a 911 at a light and rev engine... They never failed to peel out as if their lives depended on it... Then I'd roll up to them at the next light (30 seconds after they got there) and do it again... And once again, it never failed, they'd peel out again... Pretty sad when you fell threatened (twice!) by an old Beetle...

What color was it? I was coming home one night and found one parked outside my building. The one I saw looked like a charcoal metallic and I believe it was the V12. I ran out to take a closer look after I parked my car, but it was gone by the time I got there. The last couple of weeks have been insane with exotics and other nice cars. I've seen countless M cars and Porsches. And on Newbury, I've seen:
Yellow Lambo Gallardo
Lambo Murcielago (not sure about the color--it was night)
Blue Marinello
Red Modena
Grey Metallic Modena

I can't remember if I told this story yet, but I was with a couple friends at a club one time (Dream). My friend had too much to drink, so he told me to drive. He has a '94 Honda Accord, automatic transmission, no suped up exterior, and, at the time, a hole in his muffler that made the car VERY loud.
It was lightly raining, but every time I pulled up to a red light, whether in DC or NoVA, I'd find some unsuspecting sap next to me. Shift into neutral, left foot on brake, right foot on gas, and rev it up while looking at the guy.
I think the first victim had a Porsche or a BMW, or something like that. He started inching forward and then gunned it from the line on green. When he realized that I had just started crawling forward, he slammed on his brakes and started driving the legal speed limit.
The second victim was driving some old Caddy, but he, too, decided to take me up on my "challenge." His wheels spun on takeoff, but sure enough, he beat my 5 mph launch. I saw a cop on the other side of the road immediately afterwards, as did the other driver, who slammed on his brakes, but the cop didn't do anything.
Baiting red light racers may be cruel, but it's also fun. My drunk friend was still sober enough to appreciate the other drivers' foolishness. ;)

I've seen a couple of Ferraris outside that suit shop on Newbury (Louis Boston?). One time I started to take a picture of a yellow one, despite the groans of my gf. It was when I bumped into someone who also was taking a picture of it that she realized I wasn't the only crazy one who wanted a picture of "just some car."

I saw the Aston Martin "Driven to the 9's Tour" semi parked along Broad Street in Philadelphia a few days ago. It was just parked along the sidewalk all day in an unusual spot, but I never saw any cars. :dunno:

That sounds like a couple experiences I had while living in Europe. I would be in my "mighty" 323i :p and teenagers in their 1.2~1.6 Peugoets and Fiats trying to race me down the dual lane on-ramps.
Honestly, I wouldn't push it all that hard, but boy they would really work those little cars and I always waited for the white smoke and engine parts to pour from the underside of the car :tsk: :D
Most of the time I would let them win, merge right behind them onto the motorway, and then blow their doors off.

That's 'cuz you weren't looking for the right thing. The Aston Martin DB10 (the truck) was right in front of you the whole time!

Yup, Louis Boston is a good place to see some nice cars. You also see them parked in front of Emporio Armani on the weekends. Another place I've seen cool cars is in the underground parking garage for The Ritz. I usually park there when I go to see a movie at Loews Boston Common. The weekend $10 fee is like admission to a car show. lol.

I guess they're all from the outerlying suburbs? I couldn't imagine owning a car like that with Boston's roads...
Reminds me of Philly. He said that on the weekends all the "rich white folk" would come into the city from the suburbs and park on that main theater road (the name escapes me at the moment) to see a show and hobnob.

It was charcoal. Maybe the same one?
And on Newbury, can't decide which catches my eye more on a hot sunny day: the pretty cars or the pretty girls in miniskirts. Either looks good with their "top down" . . . :yummy:

I see Maseratis on a daily basis, and Ferraris and Aston Martins on a regular basis. Nothing to get excited about, really. :eeps:

Lots of Ferraris here in LA too (of course). There is new black one in my parking garage at the office (which I walk by slowly every day to admire heh), along with a Bentley Azure, a few turbo P-cars and a slew of AMG S 55s and SL 55s. I saw the new Bentley GT (?) today driving down Wilshire. I didn't even know they were out yet. Neat looking car!

I've seen at least a dozen GTs, as well as a bunch of Maserati Quattroportes recently. The GT looks great in black/black, and also with the large 5-spoke wheels that they have available.I guess you can say that I see more fancy cars in a day than many people do in a week/month/year/(insert interval of time here).
