As promised a few pics of my new ride. Been a busy week since I bought it, too much work and stuff, almost never gotten to enjoy the new car. Yesterday finally took some time and did a full detail with all the goodies I've got in my detail bag. In case you wanna know my full-blown procedure:

- washed, stripped all wax that was on the car, clayed thoroughly
- polished with Koch Chemie cutting compound (LC orange pad, not much pressure, the paint is actually perfect so I only wanted to clean it a bit + remove crap that dealer detail did to it)
- another step with Dodo Juice Lime Prime to remove holograms left from dealer polishing and prepare for sealant (LC white pad)
- some Poorboys' Black Hole glaze/fill in ( I love this stuff, works wonders on dark paint)
- sealed it all with Prima Hydro Seal (x2 layers)
- at the very end, a layer of good old Meg's #16 wax. Next car wash will do another layer.

First "mod" also done, had the rear windows tinted with 95%.

Nice car. One thing I don't like is that 90% tint to the back windows. I like windows with the same tint all around. It just looks odd, If you can't do all the windows at that tint do them at a lower intensity or don't do them at all

I know I'm unhappy myself with the way it is but it's absolutely forbidden here, and I still want to have at least the rear ones tinted real dark since I like the privacy of the 95% tint.

Does your tint % get reversed or something? 95% tint would be clear here. The % is supposed to be the amount of light that goes through the tint. 5% is usually the darkest you can get.

Obviously, it's just a matter of notation.

I really love that exterior/interior color. What an absolutely beautiful 7.

When I bought my M6 I opted to pay the lingerie tax in lieu of the shoe tax. I will see if I can dig up a few pictures of my "trophy grade" fiancÚ modeling her new bedroom attire.

Thank you. I am also in love with the color combination.

I think it's something you should definitely do as soon as possible. It is absolutely imperative to demonstrate the lingerie tax that is associated with a purchase of a new BMW.

Congrats!

One thing though... I understand the laws and why you tinted that way, BUT... I will always believe when I see a car tinted like this, someone is being chauffeured around.

Your opinions needed.
This is bad photoshop so do use your imagination - the front grill is supposed to be black hochglanz, and the wheels "plastidipped", just as an experiment. Can this work?

I think the grill looks great. I would definitely do it, but I would also do the window trim and chrome on bumper black.

The wheels look pretty good, but I would personally leave them stock and wait for a nice set of 22s or 20s.

I have said it before, but damn, I really love the color of your car!

+1 on everything this man said!

What did you do in the second picture? Just enhance the lighting?

Grill looks better in black than crome...would consider adding 22" rims:thumbup:
