Reverse Bulb Replacement?

Just noticed tonight that one of my reverse bulbs is out. I never received an error code. Just noticed as my wife was backing my car out of the garage while I was standing in the driveway.

Any recommendations on replacement bulbs?

I'm thinking about just going to the dealership and buying a stock, OEM replacement bulb but before I do was wondering if anyone has used something else, like a high intensity LED bulb or something else? I also don't want to put a replacement bulb in and have the car start throwing error codes.

just for the record, the reverse bulb on pre-LCI E60 is:

TOSHIBA 921
12V W16W
A12V18W JAPAN

same connector as used in interior door light, but bigger bulb size (about double the size)
