I have an E60 535i Stage II since '08 and love the car and performance. I test drove the M Sport version both for F10 535i and 550i. I felt some improvements with comfort (Ventilated seats) and gadgets (BMW Apps, Navigation, etc...) but didn't get the "wow" factor with acceleration and "Road Feel." I was wondering what you guys are upgrading to and if itís not what car are you looking at. I am personally looking at two options: F10 550i Dinan Stage I or 2013 Audi S6.

I'm sticking with my 2008 550i. Don't like my wife's F10 enough to want one myself. Holding out for the next 5er to see if it brings back the Freud Am Fahren that makes me smile so much every time I drive my E60. If the next 5er is an even more bloated version of the F10 (which has practically evolved into a 7er), then I may have to go to a 3er (which is now practically the size of an E39). Or maybe a 6er.

I've got 5 more years to worry about that. Until then, it's happy driving in my E60.

I'll probably keep the 550i until it dies. It's just too nice. I am thinking of also getting a Porsche 911 996 or something similar that can seat four and go to the track better than a 550i. If money were no object, I'd get a GT-R.

I can't afford a GT-R. The bail money would kill me.

Probably keeping my 535 for another 4-5 years. I've got it set up pretty sweet and it is very economical in terms of TCO.

if i were to get something today i would probably look at an X5. the F10 is good looking with the m sport package but short of that, im not as impressed with the looks of it compared to the e60. if i could afford it i would look closely at the panamera turbo. but 120k+ is a lot of dough for a car.

I'm keeping my 2008 535xi for another 50k miles or so (4 or 5 years). At that point I will likely upgrade to another 5-series of some flavor or the Porsche Panamera.

I never thought I'd say it but I drove the 2012 Audi A7 and its better than my 550.

70k miles this week and no plans to swap. The new Audi Allroad may be the best bet for us touring guys, though the engine selection is poor: 2.0T which only gets 20/23mpg, hopefully more options in the future like a diesel. I just can't get behind the 5 series GT but the allure of the 550 and a v8 will always be there.

Something where our 85 lbs lab easily fits in the back. Too bad they don't sell the 5 series wagon anymore. Perhaps a Pepper will have to do :).

Our 82 lbs lab fits in the back of our 535 wagon just fine. That was one of the key requirements!

Smart man - unfortunately I bought my car PL - pre-lab. My wife thinks I am nuts but I think a wagon is the way to go. I tease her about it every time I see one of the few wagon options - the E350 4matic.

We've got a 535 F10 and my E60 550 - I do not enjoy driving the F like I enjoy the 550. They advertise the new F series to be a bigger car but it doesn't feel bigger inside IMO. I will stick with my 550 till it dies or unless the new model comes out and impresses me. I'm leaning towards the new 650i 4 door... Any thought on that? It's a beautiful car.

I have yet to test drive the 6 series Grand Coupe but will. But I like the shape of the 4dr coupe including the Audi A7. Is anyone going American (Cadillac is stepping up) or Jaguar (Has some nuts)? I am curious to see with the Cadillac ATS platform out what they are going to do with the CTS platform. Thanks for all the responses Ö I am struggling to find a car I love as much as this E60. I love the look and everything else about the F10 just not sold on the driving feel (Thatís what I love about the car) Ö Test driving everything.

Keeping my e60 and happy with it. The f10 is simply not a 5 series it used to be , anymore. It has no character, it has no personality. Mostly like a small version of my 7 series.
Ultimately looking into replacing the e60 with the new 6 Gran Coupe in a couple of years.
