Hi,
I have a 2004 530I with 74,000 Miles. Do you think that I need to change the transmission flush? What do you guys suggest?

I asked a mechanic, He said it doesn't need to be change until the Idrive tells you.

Mechanic FAIL - transmission fluid is not a CBS item in Idrive. Technically, if you go by the mechanics advice you will never end up replacing the transmission fluid. Bay area, I just hit 100k on mine and everything shifts fine. I had a the mechatronics sleeve replaced a while back due to a small leak but never noticed any issues. I wouldn't replace the tranny fluid at that mileage unless you are having problems.

Mine is 75,000 miles. Do I need to change it? And how can I check the transmission oil?

What is the best time to change the transmission fluid? How can we find out that we should change it?

Guys,

If I have had bad experience with cars, its always the bloody transmission. My suggestion is to change the transmission oil every 35,000K-50,000K. And if go beyond 50,000K you are basically risking to lose the car or lot of money to fix your transmission. Thats my hard learning over the past 10+ years with my vehicles.

Cheers.
