Is this true??? I'm about to buy a set of H&R springs and a mechanic told me that he's seen many people install these and end up having to go with Coilovers because the back drops lower then the front making the car look funny.

If you have had these installed on a 745i without self leveling let me know what you've experienced.

Thanks,

In fact, I thought it was the exact opposite. That the front sits lower than the rear. I think H&R springs lower 1.3 inch front and 1.0 inch rear or something close to that. The reason for this is because if you look carefully, the front end of a stock 7 sits slightly higher than the rear end. H&R is just trying to level it out.

As Rookie said, there are MANY members on here who have H&R's and they all look great!

Maybe there's more profit in selling you full dampers vs just a spring set? :dunno::D:confused:

H&R addresses the uneven arches on these cars and compensates with staggered drop. Ive never seen an e65/66 look bad on their springs.

Not true, here is a pic from day two after I had my HRs installed. Non self leveling on my old Asantis.

$2.5k in parts and still another $500 to go in rear tires is a pretty big kick in the nuts the first month after buying it, but that allll drifts away when i hit the gas pedal...it's a monster on the road! Good purchase! Lol
