:dunno:Drove car on some errands , put FOB in everything seems normal, dash lites, radio ect. push start button and nothing happens won't start. was told low battery could cause this, charged battery, still nothing, replaced battery, and still same,,,,, nothing. Any ideas?
Dealers (multiple called) no help, just want me to bring it in.

I just posted similar. I have an '05 530i doing the same. Turn the key to start and get nothing. Foot on brake,,, checked trans in park,,, battery shows 13+,,, computer shows nothing wrong.
Anybody any ideas?

1. Start button (obvious, but happens)
2. Integrated Voltage Supply Module (IVM) is going bad (fairly common, cheap part)
3. Brake interlock going bad (also cheap)
If you're having battery voltage issues, you'll typcally get a iDrive warning with it. I'd have someone look at the IVM.

yes did have brake pedal pushed while trying to start, and thank you will those 4 things checked out and let u guys know so maybe it will help some one else.

One other thing you may want to do is have someone with a scanner check if you have fault code A111. In such a case, locate the IBS connector X13895 (3-pin connector with 2 wires, white/blue and gray wires); disconnect the connector and try restarting. If it then starts the IBS is faulty and must be replaced.
