: AC Belt issues

Good evening everyone,

I own a 2006 BMW 750Li. I'm currently having problems getting my AC Belt back on. I do not have the proper tool/clamp and was wondering if there is any tricks as it seems the belt is way too small, although the BMW dealer assures me that it's the correct part. Any input would help thank you!

its a rubber band belt.

It's the toughest elastic belt I've ever tried to use... My techs have tried holding it manually by hand and it slips right off. Almost as if I need 2 inches more slack.

My objection is not to purchase a tool I will most likely "NEVER" use again. I've just ordered a new 2013 750Li & just need to get this belt back on.

Well, that's where mechanics and shops come into play, brother ;)

Well I don't know what to tell you !

You want it on, you need a little special tool.
You don't want to buy it, cause you will use it once, so you don't want to buy it.
Your tech or whoever can't install it without the little tool.
So you need to buy the tool or bring it to someone and have them do it.... I mean there aren't many other options! Lol

You need 2 persons one is cranking engine at central bolt clockwise, the other holds the belt. look at pic. I did mine. $100 bucks goes to my account right?:)
