06 530xi Oil Change

I'm sure this is a super basic question, but does anybody have any information re performing an oil change on a 06' 530xi? I just worry that because it's a BMW there are going to be some unforeseen issues that I need to worry about. Nothing's simple on these cars. Also, the manual suggests 5-30 or 5-40. Should I go with the 5-30?

Any tips or other issues I should look out for would be well appreciated. I am worried that this won't be a simple oil change. I haven't done one on this car before, and I've only owned it since December.

It is pretty easy to do. You will need a special oil filter wrench, or some members have manged to get by with a strap wrench.

In terms of oil, make sure that the oil meets the BMW LL-01 specification.
