PDC issues .. water damage

I had some water leak in the trunk of mY 2010 e60 550i.

I dried out the water and the pdc worked for a day or so. Now, the odc light blinks and I get a msg 'pdc malfunction'.

And installed it to the trunk. The pdc still fails. I disconnected the battery overnight & it still fails.

I can see waters damage on the center connector to the unit.

What else can I check? Can it just be the harness needs to be replaced, or is there another module? Is it possible one of the senors shorted?

What else might I be able to replace before I spend 1500$ at the dealer?

$1500 seems steep. Can you not go without parking assistance? What about warranty?

You might try to spray some contact cleaner into the recepticles on the harness.

...Also, there's a SB for relocating the module to the battery compartment using velcro; it's been done on my machine, along with the other boxes, so I sleep better knowing that nothing resides in the ST well.
