Requirements: New Car Prep with Opti Coat 2

Customer dropped me an email about a month or 2 ago about his 2013 Audi S4. He asked me about or new car prep services and opti coat. The customer called me 12 hours of delivery of his new car to make sure it was properly prepped and protected before he starts to put the miles on it. I love it when a customer wants to start his new car care the right way.


- Wheels were prepped with Sonax Wheel Cleaner and cleaned up with various brushes
- Tires were spritzed down with Adamís All Purpose Cleaner and washed down
- Wheel wells were cleaned up
- Washed with Adam's Car Wash
- Aquartz Iron Cut
- Wash down and rinsed
- Door jambs were cleaned up
- Nano Scrub AutoScrub
- Dried
- Tires dressed
- Masking
- Paint Measurement
- Menzerna SF4000 with Uber Green Pad - Griots Orbital
- Opti Coat 2
- Inspection with Fenix, 3m Sun Gun, Infratech, and natural sunlight
- Wheel wells were cleaned and dressed
- Rubber and Plastics Treated
- Exterior windows and mirrors cleaned and sealed
- Exhaust tips cleaned
- Windows were autoscrubed, cleaned, and sealed

- Interior Vac
- Leather Cleaned/Conditioned
- Plastic - wiped down and protected

Hi Phil, good work as per usual.

The idea of Opti Coat on my wheels is tempting me, and so I had a curious question about it. Once it is open, how long do I have to use its contents? I think I've read that one bottle/syringe can be enough for a number of cars, but haven't seen anything about a time limit (I imagine I would have tons left over if I only used it on 4 wheels). FWIW, I just very recently emptied a mini fridge in the garage in order that it be 100% dedicated to detailing products, even if my dumb guess is that it would probably not help with this product.

Another curious question, even if of less interest to me than the above, is what was the process for the "polishing the known trouble spot"? (Menz SF4000, with the Griot's machine, with particular pads at particular speeds?) Not a biggie here, and I do wonder how different this stuff is from BMW's shadowline trim.

I typically 2 small cars out of the syringe including wheels and glass.

you can even squeeze 2 S4's out of it.

I have kept the opti coat around the shop when not in use in up to 30-45 days with no issues.

You won't need to store it in a fridge.

yup you got it you can go at it with the SF4000 and uber green pad if you need more cut go for it.

Phil, I noticed the Iron cut doing a LoT of work around the wells and rear. Is this from rail shipping or the iron from the brake rotors? I'm just wondering if this will need to be done pretty often, considering it's a new vehicle. Ibis white is sweet when it's done right by your crew!
