Hey guys/gals...

Which brand of gas do you prefer? Shell, BP? Marathon? I've been using Shell V-power. Haven't had the car very long. Seems to be running great! I even go the same shell each time. I heard that "newer" gas stations have better pumps...water doesn't get in them. I think that is a myth though. But I haven't taken any chances.

Shell V-Power and Chevron with Techron here.

I'll take any 91 octane gas in a pinch - but the preference is actually for Shell .... many regulars will say it doesn't matter - I happen to think I can feel a better response in the butt-dyno - but as I said, many will tell you it doesn't matter... I dictate what I fuel up with though, and as I'm paying for my gas, I'll continue with those two as my preferred fuels.

I try to stick with Cheveron, Shell or Exxon. Something to consider is the type of station you buy from. I've seen small convenience stores that have major brand signs and pumps but they sell whatever they get the cheapest. IMO, that shouldn't be legal.

Rotten Robbie's here. JK. I usually go with Shell but I'll change it up with Safeway or Costco if I'm near one.

If you can, give preference to stations who do a volume business. I was once told that the fresher the gas, the better.

Here we go, again.

It does not matter.

@Todd92... I used to agree with you and used the cheapest local gas however I was seeing the occasional skip when lightly accelerating. I've filled up a few tanks with Shell V-Power and it seems to have cleared up.

If you haven't tried it, try using ethanol free gas. We have a few gas stations that cater to the boating community and all of their gas is ethanol free. I've noticed it runs a little better. My city fuel driving goes from around 410 a tank, to 460ish a tank.

Shell V-Power only. 91 Octane here in Toronto has NO ethanol in it but lots of cleaning detergents and is Nitrogen enriched(what this does is a mystery to me).

Shell and chevron are the best options in my opinion. Used Mobil a few times and I could feel a difference...I might be paranoid though.

I have read awful storied of the dealer not covering some fuel issues if the gas is cheap. Be careful.

I use Shell V Power.

I use Shell because there's no Chevron I drive by and Mobil is more expensive.
