I need to replace the Blower Resistor or FSR on my 2007 BMW 530i and I have looked at the videos online, however they are all for older models. The FSR or FSU for my car looks very different, it is flat and does not have any metal rods stiking out. Since I haven't been able to find a video on how to replace it, I was wondering if somebody could post at least some pictures on where it is located and how I can get ot it.
Thanks very much in advance for your help.

Emmanuel.

If you plan on doing that level of work on an e60, you really should buy the book. I don't do much on my e60 without at least having a quick look at the Bentley's.

That said, you'll need to remove the cd/dvd and center faceplate to get to it. It's a real PITA. Are you 100% certain that you need the resistor? It is actually very uncommon on e60s. I did do my e39 twice, but I haven't heard much on the e60. A tech on the other forum told me that it's rare, due to an improved design and cooler location.
