Many people here know Kempinski as a German brand, which it is. But, with the exception of the U.S., the luxury chain has hotels world wide.

I recently stayed at Kempinki's hotel in Doha and it was exactly what I would expect from the company that owns the Vier Jahreszeiten in Munich.

Kempinski Residences & Suites, Doha, Qatar – Hotel Review (

By Jonathan Spira
[/URL] After a long but very pleasant flight from New York to Doha, I arrived in the early evening at the Qatar Airways’ VIP Arrival Terminal where I was met by a Kempinski driver. It was my first visit to Doha and I was looking forward to getting to know the city. The driver was friendly and pointed out sights along our route. Soon I was at the hotel’s front desk, Soon I was at the hotel’s front desk, where a clerk welcomed me, checked me in, gave me important information (such as where and when breakfast was served), and escorted me to my room.

My stay was to be relatively short, just a few days, but many visitors to the Kempinski Residences & Suites stay for months. Doha is a city of expats and the Kempinski fills a need for a long-term residence hotel with the services and hospitality associated with the brand.
One of the first things I noticed about my room as I entered it were the floor-to-ceiling windows and the fantastic views. I knew I would be taking a lot of photographs of that view.<SNIP>
