As some of you will remember, I posted in frustration last week over having to wait a week to get my car in for some non-essential odds and ends repairs before my warranty expired -- I was right down to the wire. Took the car in yesterday, with 300 miles to go to 50k.
I'm very pleased to report that the dealer replaced all my milky front dash trim at no cost ($500), found and fixed an exhaust leak for me gratis even though I have an aftermarket exhaust on the car, found the source of my steering wobble at 35-45 mph (bent rim) -- again, gratis -- and did my annual oil service for free. I paid a small amount for something else I asked them to do, but in my addled-brain old age of 42, can't remember as I sit here in front of the keyboard.
To top it off, my SA got a tech to come out and chat with me for about 20 minutes about my fuel trim DTC, what I've observed, what I've done, and where to look/go next in solving the problem. He was very knowlegable and quite helpful. At $150/hr, that was $50 bucks of free consultation.
So, as much as I slam Steven's Creek BMW, I've got to say they really came through for me on this last go-around. Hats off to them... I sent in an all fives feedback form.
From now on, however, I'll probably only be darkening the door of the parts department, where they know me like family :D
