newbie valve cover question

My valave cover gasket is leaking onto the manifold, my question is (I dont have a service manual) is what is the torque pattern and torque specs when replacing the valve cover, thanks for the help. -Andrew

clockwise from the center 4 bolts. The TIS does not give a torque spec so I assume it is very light, just enough to slightly compress the gasket. Just the same, I'd use a torque wrench to make them all the same. Probably between 5 and 15 ft-lbs.

Also, go to www.bmwtips.com for some better instructions. There are spots where you need to apply a high temp silicon sealant.
