Can anyone run service history lookup?

I am looking for the service history of a car I am about to purchase. I would like to know all service performed. I know it was all done at the same dealer. I have met with the seller. This is a private sale. He had some of the service records, but not all. I would just like to know if all scheduled maintenance has been performed and if the brakes or other items have been replaced. The car has 35k miles and is a 2001 325i. The VIN is WBAAV334X1FU85183 and I think all service was performed at Foreign Motors West in Natick, MA. Also the car was first registered as a corporate fleet car in NJ but the window sticker says it was sold to Foreign Motors West in Natick, MA , then sold through Foreign Motors West in Natick to the current owner with 14k miles. Does this mean it was driven by a BMW employee?

Please PM me I can provide more info.

Thanks in advance,
Steve

Sounds like a "brass hat" to me-- in other words, a BMWNA executive demo or employee lease vehicle. I just pulled up the history, and it still shows FM West as the "owner". The car went into service as a demo in January 2001 (the warranty started ticking at that time), and FM West bought it from BMWNA as a used car in August 2001 (when it was wholesaled to FM West). FM West did not CPO this car, however.

It's had the 15k and 30k service done, and the brake fluid has been changed. The car is still on the original brakes, though (and Full Maintenance has expired).

Thank you very much!

Is "brass hat" a good thing? Original brakes are a bad thing. How much to replace brakes and rotors? any idea?

Here's the deal
2001 325i
35k miles
SP
PP
ColdPkg
HK
Xenon
Step
Black Leather
Steel Grey
Brand new snows on BMW rims (1600$ saw the recipt)
Extended warranty
Alarm

no paintwork or bodywork to be seen.

original sticker was 38k

Driven by older women, so there is a little curb rash. I think they did the automatic car wash thing, but paint looks good. The have most all service records.

I offered 23k, and he took it. Right at KBB private party value, and just below Edmunds, same as trade on NADA.

Sound good???

Aftermarket extended warranty, I assume?

Four wheel brakes, including pads and rotors, done at the dealer, will be ~$800-900.

Price seems fair for a clean car.

Thank you again.

His service records indicated a problem with the climate control and a leaking washer resivoir. Did you see these repairs?

Any major repairs?

Thanks again,
Steve

Hi,
Thanks for the info you provided a while ago.

I did buy the car.

I noticed something today. Just wondering if it is normal.

The passenger folding rear seat back is leatherette, and the rest of the seats are leather.

Is this normal?

Just wondering if you had any insight, service related?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

What part is leatherette? The fold-down armrest in the rear, or the entire seat back in the rear? Are you sure it is leatherette, and not just a different grain/texture of leather? If it is in fact leatherette, it looks like someone along the line made a replacement and didn't know to order the right parts. :dunno:

It's the actual seat back on the passenger side. I guess I just want to know why. I know you can't anwser that, but cannot figure out why it would have needed to be replaced.

Def. Leatherette.
