View Full Version : WHEELS: Thinking of getting these

Been looking at these for a few months now I really want to get them but not sure how they would look on my ride. What do you all think, I think any of the 2 would look nice they are 20" width will be 9 in the front and 10.5 in the back. What tires would I have to get to make them work if I pull the trigger?

Are those the Vossen CV3?
Another member posted pics of his 7 with CV3's

Nah they aren't Vossons they are Stance

I'm not big on Vossen too many people have them, I like to be a little different. But I'm not knocking them they are some sexiest ass wheels Vossen I mean.

Just looked at the link you posted and they look weird for some reason I guess he need to lower his car or something just look funny.

At first glance, the pics you posted looked like Vossens..that's why I responded the way I did. My bad. What are those btw?

The Stance SC5 is a great looking rim. I would do it.
Here is a pic of a set on an Audi in front of my Mustang.
Hope it helps.

Yup it was weird looking then the guy at tires shop put on the wrong side of tires ( 245 and 275)

I prefer the Stance over the Vossens for 2 reasons. TheStance have a shiny lip. The other issue is every one and their momma has Vossens. They are everywhere. I couldn't buy a wheel that popular no matter how good it looked. I mod to make my car a little different. Buying a wheel everyone has defeats that.

Just got off the phone with Stance and a few other suppliers and they all say these wheels are not in stock and it will take 5-6 weeks to get them by that time I'll have moved on lol. And I really wanted to rock these this month so dissapointed right now, I guess I'll have to look at a different brand just in case I choose to move on. Let the search continue

I was thinking of going bigger, but I remember seeing a guy with some big ass 22 on his ride in my town and they looked really ugly the rims was nice but they way they looked on his car was aweful so I figure I'll try to stay away from that especially since I'm buying form online/out of town its not like I can take it back to the shop and have them replced or refitted. if you know what i'm saying but I'm still thinking about going to maybe 21' who knows.

Yeah bro I been calling around all day and everyone say they are out, florida, vegas, cali, I even called Stance and they say that they are on back order 4-6 week wait by the way what color are you looking for? I'm looking at the Giovanna Mecca, Niche Nurburg, or GFG Forged, they are all the same design....I'll post some pics here in a bit.

I would seriously consider the 22 inch.
I am not sure what kind of car the other one was with 22?
But. 22's look right at home on a seven series.
And they have the 22 in stock right now.

gmcclintock
09-07-2012, 10:00 AM
Really they have the 22" Stance in stock? Hmmmm thats something to think about, is that the size you have on your car? or the car in your sig....because they do look good on there but again thats a different style all together

Suri [TBR]
09-07-2012, 10:13 AM

And even if you're set on the 20's, just wait man. Those wheels are beautiful!

The ones on my Mustang are 20's and the 6 are 20's as well.
I am going to put 22's on the 7 soon.
I need 2 all black 20's for our SEMA show cars but I will wait for those.

If you really like the Stance, I suggest wait and get what you really want.
22's are there from what I heard and they will fit your wheel wells much better IMHO.

Thanks for the advice guys, I've decided to wait it out hopefully I'll probably order them and have them sit in the garage until next summer since I won't be home to use them anytime soon lol. MELLOWYELLOW06 I think the guy I'm talking to in FL have the Stance in Black shoot him an email or call him at the following

I'm thinking about waiting it out though, because I give the same advice to people who are in the same situation so I guess I need to practice what I preach lol. Oh and they 20's on the 6 look right I tell ya the look perfect do you have any issues in the rain? because thats the look I'm aiming for if I go with 20's what size tires are you running on those?

MELLOWYELLOW06
09-07-2012, 11:04 AM
Thanks brother.
They are 285 30 20 out back on a 10.5 rim and a 245 35 20 on a 9" rim up front

gmcclintock
09-07-2012, 11:22 AM
Ok they were suggesting 275/30/20 back and 245/30/20 for me and I was a bit skeptical about the 275 I was thinking 305 but 285 looks good on yours so I may try that.

295/25/22 Rear

If you're running 22's: 255/30/22 Front, 295/25/22 OR 305/25/22 in rear if you really want!

If you're running 20's: 255/40/20 Front, 295/35/20 OR 305/35/20 in rear if you want!

Just get the 22's and have them on by next week :D

Ok fellas I finally got it confirmed that they don't make these in 22" so I will get the 20's...Does anyone on here have or had factory 20's on their car? if so what are your tire specs. I'm thinking of going with this setup (285x30x20 - 10.5" wheel BACK and 255x35x20 - 9" wheel FRONT) because I think they look really nice on those or I will go factory setup if I could get those from someone.

I've never seen 22 look bad on a 7. It fits perfectly. 24's look off but 22's are perfect. Even 21's are a bit tiny. The 7 is a big car. It needs 22's or stay stock. Just my opinion.

285 for the rear is not going to look good on 10.5 wide rim , it's not much diff then 275 like i had before...
