Finally pulled the trigger and ordered Eibach Sport kit for my baby. Looking to do the install myself. Won't be able to start today but tomorrow I will dedicate the entire day to do the install. Here's some pix unboxing.

Finally got the installation done. Took 6 hours for the front the first day and 2 hours on the rear next day. Was pretty easy to take apart and put together. Had a hard time with the Autozone rented spring compressor because I didn't have any power tools and had to ratchet the compressor. The rear strut I took to a local shop and the guy was nice enough to swap out the springs in for free. Gave him a very nice tip. Here's a couple of pix.

Love the drop, not too much, just perfect. I think you could use spacers on the rear wheels (nice looking wheels, too)

Nice. How does it ride compared to stock?

Nice. How does it ride compared to stock?

To be honest, I'm really surprise how good it rides. I really thought I was sacrificing the ride for looks but it really almost feels the same. The only time I noticed any difference is on uneven pavement bumps like on an overpass. As far as performance, handles much better with even less body roll on turns. Feels a lot sportier sitting lower to the ground. Pulling up next to an SUV at the light actually feels like your in a car. I recommend the Eibach springs but not doing the install by yourself.

***update*** Driving around yesterday to do errands I heard the coils knocking whenever I turned the wheel all the way around. Gave me suspicion something was off. I took the car back into the garage and took apart the front end struts. When I installed the Eibach springs, the directions that came in the box stated that the "Eibach" logo is face right side up when installing. That's exactly what I did. With further inspections of the old spring that came out. Clearly the springs were installed upside down when the logo faced up. Rented another spring compressor tool, but this time from O'reilly. Sure enough I got a better set with nice threading which made it very easy to work with. Long story short, I flipped the springs over which fitted perfectly onto the strut and everything went smooth. Took 45 mins on each side. No more knocking on turns.

I envy people who got the time, will, skills and a place to do all that kind of work on their cars.

I left the stock orange bump stops on mine. Wonder if it sits lower with the ones that came with the springs.

I had a hard time the first time around just cause I didn't have any instructions on how to do the install. The tool I rented the first time around didn't work so well and made the task a lot harder then it should had been. I was able to take it apart and redo the 2 front struts under 2 hours. If I get time I may pull the front/rear strut out and take pix of what needs to be unbolted and do a write up.

Took this pix just now. Looks like the springs are starting to settle in a little more. Less wheel gap all around.

I should had done a measurement before/after install then a week later. So after a week the car's lower middle fender lip sits at 29" front/rear. Don't know how much it has settled. Hope I can get a little more.

If you get a chance, do you mind measuring how far the lower middle fender of the wheel well is to the ground? We have similar setup with 22" wheels. Thanks.

Nice purchase. These cars look so much nicer lowered.

Don't forget to add those stickers on your windows.

They provide an additional 1/10th of a drop. :D

It's been almost a month since I installed the springs. The springs has settled another 1/2" in the front and 1/4" in the rear.
