Does anyone have a reset tool I can borrow to reset the srs airbag fault light! I live in Los Angeles. 2005 BMW 745i. If it works I can buy same reset model. Peake research tool is $430.00. Is there another reset tool out there? Thanks!

Not to ask a dumb question, did you register the battery to the car? Did you use INPA?

Yes

Yes we did . We cleared all his codes , then
Drove the car & rescanned . Almost all
his errors returned & had to do with
low voltage . We then checked the battery
Voltage & it was below 9 volts while the car
Was running . I suggested a new battery
Would be a good idea . We drove to Sears
& he purchased a new battery . I & a
Friend put the Battery in his car .
I registered it & again cleared all the errors.

Cool, I know of several people not registering the battery with INPA and is causing problems with the power module.

The main symptom is the max AC will not work until the car runs for 15 min. Then it will kick on.

Thanks for the updates.

Here is an update: SRS Airbag fault light kept on reappearing. Finally brought car to dealer to see if covered by seat mat warranty. Turns our that it was the seat mat sensor. So dealer fixed it under warranty.

Dealer had to read key fob to look for notes. Mine said something about seat mat warranty to be in covered for 10 years with unlimited mileage. Dealer said not the case for all cars. Every car is different. Some have 100k mile restriction. Go figure. Anyway if you are having this issue it may be worth your while to go to dealership for possible warranty.

Thanks again to Paper for previously resetting my light and to all for input!
