The steering wheel on my 2002 is worn and in need of replacement. It is non-steptronic. Is it possible to replace it with a newer steptronic wheel and changing the right side buttons?

thanks in advance

It's been brought up before and is being worked on right now. Involves coding and the wheel to my knowledge.

I would love to do this. Do you know if I can use a newer wheel since my cars build date is 06? Coding should be simple, right? Thanks bro

Also do you know if I will need a new airbag, or mine would fit, I have the sport wheel. Lastly does the M5 wheel have heating, or will that option be lost. CCCP if you can send me the link to the russian site. Thanks!

It depends on what kinda wheel u have do u have those 2 holes (pics #1 arrow point at it) u will need to take ur air bag to find out.
Ur airbag will not fit m5 wheel, as long as i know m5 didnt come with heated wheel but maybe it was an option. Call dealer and find out i guess.
