Way Cool. Take some pictures of the installation and post if you can. Some say install is easily done without removing bumper and by just moving headlight cover forward enough to reach inside. Do these do the low and high beams or are they just the angel eyes?

Mine came in the mail last week and I installed them this morning. I have a 2007 750Li so the front bumper had to come off. Just followed the DIY on this forum and it was very easy. Took about 3 hours as I cleaned alot of items while they were apart. Was alot easier than I thought it would be.

I was even able to reuse the plastic rivits at the bottom front of the wheel well. Took them out very slowly and was able to push the "rod" back out from the middle once I got them out. With it pushed back you can use them again.

Didn't take any pictures of the install as the DIY is spot on. For anyone that is on the fence about tackling this, it isn't hard at all. If you can turn a screw driver, you can do it. I would just suggest taking your time and be careful. Follow the DIY without forcing anything and it goes like clock work.

Rommelf,
Did you have to get new parts for the plastic bridge looking piece that is on the side of bumper? Did you buy or replace any parts during the bumper removal?

I didn't have to replace anything. The sides of the bumper came out without any issues. I just pulled them straight out. I had everything removed up to that point so each side just popped off. Since mine is a 2007 I used this link - http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...14&postcount=1

Everything went well. The DIY instructions on the forum are awesome. There are a few minor things that are obvious, ie unplug fogs before removing bumper. Torx screw 20mm and 8mm are used. Here are some pics. It's definitely doable, just need at least 2 hours of free time.

do the bulbs provide new hi and low headlight beam as well?

Can the headlight lense be cleaned from the inside when its apart?

That looks great man! The only reason I haven't done it yet is because I like seeing the contrast between the low beams and the angel eyes at night :D

Rkruz,
The angel eye bulbs only light up the rings and do not provide lighting for the main headlight. Since our cars are not equipped with bi-xenons, we don't really have a dedicated hi/lo beam setup. You do see the headlight assembly, but you are only installing the angel eyes underneath the headlight assembly itself. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Understood. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Are the angle eyes on all the time like on the new models? Or do you just turn on your headlights?

The angel eyes are on whenever the lights turn on, ie parking lights, lo beam, high beam.

Got it thanks.

A question is if somehow the E65/66 can be modified so that they can be left on all the time like on the new BMW models and as with the Audi evil eyes.
