Hi All,
I have 2006 E66 and its on e of the headlight is not working. BMW services guys are charging $500 for this but I did some research and found out its not a rocket science.
I manage to buy the replacement bulb at $27 and also manage to remove the lamp....

If I remember correctly, you had to turn the igition unit relative to the bulb to get it off.
Please check:
Assembly overview
On BMWfans.info you can browse to an overview of the headlight assembly. Unfortunately I can't insert a link, as it seems to be blocked (??)

On the black dish you should notice that there is a certain notch on it where you can un-hook it. Its very easy just look around it and it will un-hook so you can re-hook it to your new bulb.

Thanks Adnan for your help. I wonder if you know how to change The Valve Stem Seals in same E66. Appreciate for your favorable response. Najam

Did you have to take your bumper off for this or were you able to reach to the lights easily? I remember replacing the halos and those weren't too bad once you figured how to get to it.
