Muffler upgrade

Im planning to convert my oem muffler to direct straight pipe (muffler less) on my x1 20d anyone have done it before? Any feedback or suggestions? Thnx

Removing the muffler is an "upgrade"?

It would be incredibly loud with tons of resonance in the cabin. Being a diesel it will sound like a loud diesel. Not very sexy.
