Hi, hi. My car stopped in the middle of the road. The engine shut off or something, no clue. So, then I restarted my car back up and it just acted as if nothing had happened. Weird~ I know nothing about cars so I'm dead worried that I purchased a defected car of something. Any suggestions? Did anyone else bmer do this? yikes~!! Please somebody reply~!

middle pedal? :dunno: ;)
Take it to the dealer. Obviously not enough information given to do any sort of diagnosis here.

There are so many things that can make this happen, most of them pretty benign, that I wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over it unless it happens again in the near future. It could be something as simple as a stall based on how you were driving it, and you just weren't aware that you stalled it due to attention load.
Or, the fuel filter could have gotten blocked temporarily by a contaminant, cutting off fuel pressure to the injection system, then the blockage cleared on it's own due to the changes in pressure in the fuel system lines from turning off and then on again. I'm not saying this is what happened, but it's one of the possibilities.
Like I said, ignore it unless it happens again in the near future. If it doesn't happen again for 5,000 miles or something, chalk it up to your car's personality. They're complicated machines.

Hello,
I have merged the two threads. Please do NOT cross-post the same thread on other boards.
Thanks

Seriously this has happened to me... here is one of many threads discussing this type of problem.

I noticed you are from Chicago so if the dealer agrees there is a problem and attempts a fix please post the results. I would be interested.
