I'm loving it. It drives nicer each time I get in it, and it started at a pretty high rating from me. It most certainly has some of the BMW steering feel that the F10 no longer has. Not all, but much of it. There are many other posts about seats comfort and things, and I agree with most of them. Seats are not 5/7 comfort, but certainly great seats. Ride in Sport/Sport +, and at times even standard comfort is a little rough and firm over certain road defects, but to other's points, it is probably the ultra low profile tires. Wheels are beautiful.

This was the dealers GSM's car, had 3000 miles on it. I know him personally and have bought many many cars from them, including one of his prior demos. I obtained what I think is a superb deal (lease), given the newness of the car, and somewhat of a rarity at this point.. THat may change next month :-)..

If I was ordering, and I would have, I would definitely have chosen the 650i & B&O. The Premium sound is OK. pretty good, not great, but not bad. amortized over 3 years, the B&O isn't so bad of a cost, if you're into music. I would have originally wanted the Nappa Leather, but after really comparing the two side by side, in the exact same color, at $3000 I don't think I'm giving up much at all. Certainly not in the way of seat comfort. The 650i would have included it, and that why ordering a 650i would have made more sense. However, I was thoroughly elated with this car and its options once I spent a little time and a few test drives with it, and others.

640i vs. 650i - This is of course subjective, and just like in the F10 forums, there are supporters of each. I've owned mostly the 50i models of my most recent cars. Our current X5 is a monster 4.8 X50i MSport. I and my wife are very fond of the 8 cylinders, the feel, drive and ease of power. I of course miss it. Don't kill me, but I didn't even test drive a 650i GC. You heard that right. I did drive a 750i, and 550i, and again, I know full well the power it has. There wasn't a single second, though, in my drive of the 640i that had me thinking this car could be faster. Well, it can always be faster, but realistically... this car hauls ass. And smoothly! There is absolutely no reason in the world for me to get the 650i except to get me into a heap of trouble with the flashing blue and white! Seriously though, ordered it would have been the 650 but I don't regret it for one second. Maybe the next one. BMW has done such a fine job with the inline 6 and turbo that I'm amazed.

On a more minor basis, I probably would have ordered ceramic controls as well, but it wasn't in this car.

ARS - I'm not sure it's needed for my purposes. Of course a more level turn in is always nice, I don't know if I'd want it at the compromise of a firmer ride. I think the MSport pkg pushes the envelope between comfort and too firm, for what it is. I'm thinking springs would not be a great idea on this car.

I do hate the auto stop/start and it's going in next week for the programming. I would love some coding to get a few items. For the life of me, I can't understand why this car does not show PSI for tires.

It looks great! I like how the msport looks with the white. I feel like it doesn't look that good on the GC with some colors but really goes well with white. Welcome to the club, hopefully more people start receiving their cars so that this forum can have some activity.

Agreed! I have some issues with I drive, iPhone, office music etc. maybe I should say questions and not problems but for me they are problems. More activity might help. I'll post seperately and in the F10 forum as they have same systems, I think...

I can understand not having the Nappa and the Instrument panel in leather. Certainly the ceramic controls are marginal at best. Those options don't do anything to the car but add some richer feeling interior upgrades. However, not having Adaptive Drive is what makes the car in my opinion. I drive in Sport mode 100% of the time. It has become a memory reflex I do just before putting the car in gear. 50% of the time I am in Manual shift mode. I agree, I don't need any more speed from a 650 but I do enjoy having all the options to make it "The Ultimate Driving Machine"

Congrats! Nice color combination. The 640 seems to have enough pep and get up and go in my opinion. Wife is happy with the 6-cylinder engine's performance.
