ALRIGHT. HEAR'S THE PROBLEM. I HAVE AN E36 325I. SO FAR... I HAVE A COLD AIR INTAKE, FRONT & BACK STRUT BARS, AND AN M3's CATBACK EXHAUST. IT'S KINDA QUICK. BUT NOT QUICK ENOUGH. MY 0-40 MPH IS TERRIBLE. I DON'T WANT TO CHIP THE CAR AFTER ALL. ANYBODY GOT SOME COOL IDEAS ON HOW TO BEEF UP THE TAKE OFF HORSEPOWER? IT CURRENTLY GOES 0-60 IN 8 SECONDS FLAT. I NEED A MINIMUM OF 5.5 SECONDS TO BE A HAPPY CAMPER. :) SOME ONE HELP ME WITH ZIS DILEMA... OH PLEASE!

Save up for a faster car? 8 sec. to 5.5 sec. is not realistic without spending a ton.

Here are a few things you can do:
1) Sell the 325i
2) Buy a Camaro.
There you go - only two things :).

After my headache has died down from reading the bright red bold upper case question, I can offer this:
a) become BEST friends with Dinan or another full-scale aftermarket shop, or
b) buy another car
You will spend a TON transforming a mild, composed, well handling machine, into a tire shredding service station manager's dream (read: reliability in the crapper). You *can* do anything with a car with a suitable application of funds, but be prepared to keep spending...more.
