I sold my hardtop Cool!
The new owners have a 96 1.9 Z3 We installed the mounting hardware and Placed the Hardtop on and it fit perfectly with no window adjustments and the color matched, I found the plug for the center defrost switch, But where are the other two connecters hidden on the Drivers side of the car, I did not want to start taking the car apart to find them, When I knew someone would know the short cut on how to find them.
Thanks Mike T

I'm not certain, as I've never had mine (either one) apart that far, but is it possible that the two wires on the driver's side socket are only in cars that came with the hdtp or an install kit?

Need an answer from someone that added the hdtp after the original sale...

I have all the parts I need I thought? I removed all the parts from the dearly Departed Z
The wiring is on the lift mounting bracket, I just need to know where to find the two mating plugs or opposite plugs that then leads to or goes to the center console Defrost switch.
When I removed the Mounting hardware, all I did was unplug the Wires at the Plugs.
I pulled the Switch and unplug the hardware with wiring, and lift the other wiring that goes to the switch. :dunno:

Did you download the installation instructions from the thread I referenced in my last post? I think your questions are answered in that document.
