328i tail light failure 1996

I have a 1996 328i with a message tail light failure, the right side tailight is not working, I have switched the left and right side bulbs and sockets, works fine on the left but right side parking light will not come on, back up, turn signal brake light works just not the parking light I need help... thanks First timer

I struggled with my 96 tail light problems for a few days. This is what I found: there can be corrosion on the bulb holder contacts. a nail file or emory board can remove the stuff easily. the contacts on the bulb holder can also be GENTLY moved outwards with a needle nose pliers. since fixing mine i havent had a warning in 30 days. good luck! :rofl:
