I've got one on order (120d SE). Due for delivery end of October
The dealer is trying to get an earlier date :) (I placed a deposit in April!).

We're all going to be looking forward to your review! Unless of course someone beats you to the punch and gets a 1er earlier. :p

Interesting - it's 18 September in the UK too. That's the first time in living memory that BMW launched UK cars at the same time as its domestic/continental European counterparts.

Take delivery of a 120i sport on 12 Oct has anyone driven a sport version as I am a little worried about the ride quality especially as I have ordered 17" alloys

It will probably suck. BMW specifies run-flats for all 1ers, including the base, and is deep in denial about the ruinous impact it has on the ride of every car specified with run-flats (particularly the 5er and Z4).
You can improve things, though; when you take delivery, go straight to a tyre place, rip off those hateful run-flats, and keep them for when you sell the car ("look! Brand new tyres!"). Then fit real tyres.

October 26th for me.
Hoping it will be brought forward though.
