cd player and steering wheel question

I have a 98 528i, and right there on the center dash where the radio under the wood grain flip trim there is a tape player, if I buy a business cd player will it switch out with the tape player and still work in my car? And if so, will my 6 cd changer in the trunk still work? As for the steering wheel, will the 3 series sport wheel with the three spokes with the bottom spoke split in two look good in my car or should I leave the standard one that came with it. (lol, sorry i couldnt figure out how to upload a picture of that) Thanks a lot!

i wouldn't change to the 3 series one if you are planning on spending that much money, since you have to buy new air bag for it. i would look for the 2002-2003 e39 steering wheel instead. they are the same kind as the e46 m3 steering wheels, they look very good.

Do you know how much that m3 steering wheel costs, I have a guy that will sell me the steering wheel Im talking about for $150 with airbag and in like new condition....still no?

It MAY work in an '00 or higher. M3's came along about the same time BMW starting using 2 stageairbags so the connections are different.

Also, this applies to newer E39 steering wheels not working in a '98 E39.
