Quick question for the forum: am looking at installing the BMW OEM CD changer or Sirius receiver in a 2004 330i and wanted to know the smart way to remove the driver side interior trunk panel. Based on what I see, I need to do this to fish out the wiring harness that is supposedly lurking behind it. The trunk panel seems to be held in by two plastic grommets and I'm hesitant to yank too hard on them lest they break. What's the intended way to get at the wiring harness? The two plastic slots which are located where the receiver or changer would go are each held in by four screws, but access to the screws is pretty difficult since they are behind the panel. Any help from the more experienced would be greatly appreciated.

They won't break; they are designed to come apart. Just use the flat blade screwdriver in the toolkit to pull up the center pin. BTW there are 3 not 2, the other one is by the rear seat.

Do a search on DYI for installing the changer. They contain pictures which will be of great help in visuallzing of what you are supposed to find behind the trunk liner.
