2004 330 Ci Convertible Mic Confirmation

Planning out Bluetooth install and actually called BMW Assist to ask if they knew where the mic was located in my car. I wasn;t sure if it was on the steering column cause I see something there that looks like a mic or near the overhead lite in the headliner. They told me to look on the backside of the mirror for the mic. I looked and I see something but not sure if that is really the mic or not ?? Anyone confirm this and what is the piece that looks like a mic on the sterring column ??

If anyone cares, I just got confirmation from the dealer, that on an 04 vert, the mic for the bmw assist is located on the sterring column between the wheel and the instrument cluster. I am able to hear the BMW assist people very clearly and them me as well going at high speed with the top down, so not sure why people or the dealer says there is a mic problem if one was to remove the bmw assist and put in Bluetooth ????
