How (if at all) can I stop the seatbelt light from flashing even if all the belts are fastened? It is a 01 325iC.

Thanks.

Not much help here, but I thought the light went out as soon as you hooked up the seatbelts? :dunno: Sounds like a bad connection at the seatbelts; car doesn't know your seatbelts are fastened, flashes for awhile and then turns off... Low-buck solution to your problem is a piece of electrical tape over the seatbelt warning indicator... :D

Yes, that's the low buck solution to the light coming on, but not to the danger it's causing...

You see, your BMW has dual-stage airbags - the airbags will deploy much harder/faster if the car thinks that your seat belt is not fastened. Basically.. if you get in a front end collision and your car thinks you don't have your seat belt on, expect a broken nose. I'd either buy a Bentley manual to see how the wiring works or take the car to a dealer ASAP.

330Cane, ask your service department. Or would they charge you $120/hour too? :p

I don't think the velocity of the airbag is totaly dependant on the seatbelt being fastened. Don't forget there is a sensor mat in the seat bottom that detects the weight of the passenger.
