Extended Warranty

My warranty is about to expire on my 2001 3.0 X5. Can I still purchase an extended waranty and if so where and how much do they typically run. I know they are negotiable at purchase but what about after the fact.

dont know about the price, but you can purchase the extended warranty as late as one month after your warranty has expired. my nephew tried to extend his warranty three months after it expired on his 330i, but they said they could not do it that late.
