The 330Ci I am buying in a few days has 18" wheels with Summer tires on it, and I will need to get some snow tires before Winter. I have a set of good 17" snow tires sitting around from my Boxster S (which will no longer be driven in Winter), and the overall diameter of both the front and rear tires almost identical to the 330Ci's 18" setup. My question is whether the 255/40-17 rear tires will fit in the wheel well. The wheels I have are some 17" crappy things a friend got from Tire Rack, and I haven't seen them yet, so I don't know their offset. My snow tires are Pirellis, and they have rim guards which make them a bit wider than normal. Anyone have any experience with this tire size on an E46 coupe?
